TIME RELEASED ACTIVATION

In the formation, the additives behaves similar to a very slow reacting acid, continuing to penetrate through actively etching rock and generating CO2/gas  for days. The extended reach stimulation also provides a local pressure mechanism and gas drive to help flush completion fluids back to the well.  

BEHAVIOR WITH SHALE

As more wells are drilled in high clay content or tight and micro-fractured formations, it can be easy to damage formation flow properties with drilling muds or offend sensitive formations with completion fluids or flood applications. Once in contact with clays, VeruTEK’s nano-sized additives begin activation to break down the clays ability to swell.  Treatment has a profound and permanent effect on clays as related to permeability issues. Actual downhole video footage demonstrates this technology as a shale solution - from cleanout of lost drilling muds, to initiating and enhancing fracturing, to remediating skin damage and other blockages.

For production in politically charged geographies, any fluid technology must hold up to an unprecedented level of scrutiny about safety in the environment.  Since VeruTEK fluids are already being used for environmental projects in shallow water aquifers, they have met and passed close regulatory scrutiny. VeruTEK fluids contain no U.S. Clean Water Act Priority Pollutants, no BETX, and there are no known or suspected carcinogens. In fact, VeruTEK fluids have received regulatory permits for injection in over 14 states, including the Northeast and Midwest.
