New Green VeruSOLVE-HP The First Plant Surfactant-Peroxide

Bloomfield, CT, February 9, 2010 - VeruTEK®Technologies Inc.
announced today the availability of VeruSOLVE-HPfor the remediation
of non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL), soil, sediment, and groundwater
contamination including fuel oil, coal tar, creosote, chlorinated
solvents, PCBs, and other organic contaminants.
VeruSOLVE-HPis a patent-pending green fusion product formulated
by VeruTEK®for its patent-pending S-ISCO®process, where plant
surfactants and oxidants are safely mixed with other proprietary
biodegradable ingredients. VeruSOLVE-HPis a stabilized blend of
plant extracts that catalyze degradation of target contaminants,
and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2); a strong oxidant that degrades to
water. VeruSOLVE-HPsafely destroys organic contamination in place
such as beneath buildings and structures.
The carbon footprint of S-ISCO®remediation with VeruSOLVE-HPis
less than 10 percent than that of traditional remedies such as
excavation/landfilling. S-ISCO®is also a much less expensive
process overall and is a far more complete remedy. VeruSOLVE-HPis
shipped ready-to-inject into the subsurface through geoprobe
points, permanent injection wells, or monitoring wells. VeruSOLVE
HPcan be delivered in 55-gallon drums, 1000 Ltotes, or by tanker
truck.
Previous applications of VeruSOLVE have demonstrated successful
destruction of fuel oil and gasoline constituents to achieve
closure of sites in a short duration (less than two weeks).
Additionally, injections have been performed in close proximity to
homes and high traffic areas safely and without disruption to
occupancy. VeruSOLVE-HPcan be used for source removal, enhanced
product recovery and as an aerobic biostimulant (for plume
control).
